Spring 2017 Citizens Police Academy
Sign up now to attend the spring session of the Seagoville Citizen’s Police Academy beginning April 4, 2017. This 12-week course offers insight into the daily operations of your Police Department and provides an overview of what is involved in protecting and serving the citizens of Seagoville.
Attendees of the spring session will learn about the Seagoville Citizen’s Police Academy Alumni Association and their activities. Graduates of past sessions have formed the Association to provide volunteer assistance to the Police Department with community events including Seago-Fest, 4th of July festivities and C.O.P., Citizens on Patrol.
Classes will be held every Tuesday evening, 7 pm - 10 pm, in the training room of the Seagoville Police Department.

City Wide Clean Up April 17 through April 22, 2017
The City of Seagoville and the Keep Seagoville Beautiful Commission is sponsoring a City Wide clean up Monday, April 17, through Saturday, April 22, 2017.
A City of Seagoville water bill and driver’s license must be presented at the disposal location.
Trash and debris may be disposed of at the City of Seagoville Service Center located at 101 North Watson from 9:00 am until 3:00 pm, Monday through Friday, April 17th through April 21st and 9:00 am until 4:00 pm on Saturday April 22, 2017
Please do not bring tires or appliances containing Freon or other household hazardous chemical waste to this collection.

Keep Seagoville Beautiful 11th Annual Trash Off Saturday, April 22

Time: 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM
Time Details: Registration begins at 8:30 AM. Volunteers deploy to their assigned locations at 9:00 AM. Meet back at Central Park by 12:15 for hot dogs, drinks, and chips. Door Prize drawings will be held during lunch.

Established by Keep America Beautiful, Inc., the nation's premier litter prevention and education organization, in partnership with state and local affiliates such as ours, the Great American Clean Up is our country's largest annual cleanup, beautification and community improvement program.
Each year, millions of volunteers in over 15,000 communities across the country take part in this program. Here in Seagoville, Keep Seagoville Beautiful (KSB) is seeking 200 volunteers for our Don't Mess With Texas Litter Clean Up event on Saturday, April 22, 2017

Seagoville Police Department Spring 2017 National Drug Take Back Program:

Seagoville Police Department in conjunction with the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) will host an event focused on removing potentially dangerous prescription medications from our nation’s medicine cabinets.
The event known as the National Drug Take-Back Program will provide residents with a safe means of disposing of expired, unwanted, or unused pharmaceutical / prescription medications along with other medication by turning them over to Law Enforcement officers for proper destruction.
This one day event, which is normally held twice a year helps bring national focus to the issue of prescription medication and controlled substance abuse. The program provides an opportunity for Law Enforcement to collaborate with DEA and establish a safe collection site.

Community Development Projects Enhance Services to the Seagoville Community
Bearden Park is ready for the 2017 youth baseball and softball season. A much needed parking lot upgrade was finished just in time.
New swings are installed and fresh wood chips are spread in the playground area. Ready to go for beautiful Spring weather.
The Heard Park playground as well as all playgrounds in the City had new swings installed and fresh wood chips spread. In each park, the depth and quality of the wood chips used meets all State requirements for municipal playground safety standards.
