Principal's Newsletter
From the desk of Mrs. McDevitt
November 25, 2020
Our first week of virtual learning went very well. Our teachers met each morning to discuss various topics and to plan for the day. Our students adapted very well to the change in schedule and to the virtual platform. The children watched a virtual Thanksgiving prayer reflection this morning.
The ordinance from the Montgomery County Department of Health will continue until December 6th for grades K to 8. We will resume VIRTUAL classes on Tuesday, December 1st at 9am.
I want to wish everyone a happy and blessed Thanksgiving!! Enjoy the holiday.

VILLA VIRTUAL SCIATHLON WINNERS
Congratulations to Gwendolyn Hamilton, 7th Grade and Brigid McConnell, 5th grade.
This was a competition using real world 21st century problem solving. The girls had to answer science questions and perform various labs, video tape them and then post their results. Some of the experiments/questions were: What happens to a negatively charged comb when put under water; What is the result when mixing vinegar and baking soda; When an object reflects all wave lengths of light what color will the object have?
Way to go Gwendolyn and Brigid!!

HAPPY THANKSGIVING
Dear Lord,
Today we give thanks
For our many blessings,
As we pray for those in need,
We give thanks
For our family and friends
As we pray for those who are lonely.
We give thanks for our freedoms
As we pray for those who are oppressed.
We give thanks for our good health
As we pray for those who are ill.
We give thanks for our comfort and prosperity
As we share our blessings with others.
On this day of Thanksgiving,
May the love of God enfold us,
The peace of God dwell within us
And the joy of God uplift us.
Amen
