Should Students Take the SAT?
· The SAT measures aptitude. It is a test of reasoning skills.
· The New SAT doesn't have a science section
· A 1020-1040 on the New SAT is a 22 on the ACT – getting either score will give you the exact same quality application
· The New SAT is far less “time-intensive,” allowing more time for each problem?
College and Career Readiness
1. A benchmark score on any section of the ACT test (English-18; Science-23; Reading-22; Math-22) 2. A qualifying score on an AP or IB exam 3. Approved college or postsecondary credit while in high school, 4. A benchmark level on the ACT WorkKeys (Silver or higher certificate) 5. An approved industry credential, or 6. Documented acceptance for enlistment into the military.
