Mariner Marching Band Shines at MSBOA
On Tuesday, October 9th, the MCHS and SCHS Bands hosted the MSBOA Marching Band Competition. In all there were nine local schools present who showcased their talent throughout the night. At the end of the evening each school was presented with its ranking and Marine City High School scored a Division I ranking. We are very proud of our Marching Band and all their hard work. Not only did they perform well at the competition, but they also shine each week as they entertain crowds at the football games and throughout the year in local parades and assemblies.
Theater Students Honored by the International Thespian Society
Congratulations to several of our current theater students and 2018 graduates who have earned induction into the International Thespian Society (ITS), the honor society for secondary school theater students. Each Thespian inductee has completed over 100 hours of excellent work in theatre arts and related disciplines. In doing so, they have acquired essential twenty-first century life and career skills that include creativity and innovation, critical thinking, problem solving, teamwork, and effective communication. We would like to congratulate each of the MCHS inductees for their hard work and achievements, and thank you to Mr. McCulloch, their troupe director, for his constant dedication.
2018 Graduates: Alli Bica, Marissa DuVall, Chelsea Itrich, Megan MacEwan, Anna Herbert, Ryan McGlynn
