Hello JES Family,

What an amazing couple of weeks! STAAR testing, 4th grade trip to the Capitol, Kindergarten Preview, Field Day, Dad's Club, Morning with Moms, etc. - our kids and campus have been so busy! I want to thank all of our families who stepped in as chaperones and volunteers to make these last two weeks amazing!

I'd also like to say a big Thank You to Ms. Mangels for all she has done for our campus these last 12 weeks. I appreciate how she stepped in and loved our students and staff while Mrs. Williams has been out. We will definitely miss her!

I am so grateful for the opportunity you have given me to serve this beautiful community. Please don't hesitate to reach out if you have any compliments or concerns to share.

Kindergarten Graduation

Kindergarten families please mark your calendars for our Kindergarten graduation ceremony to be held at 8:30 am on Thursday, May 25. Doors will open at 8:00. If you haven't already, please RSVP to avoid the lines to get a visitor badge.

If you have NOT yet scanned your driver’s license at the JES office this year, we cannot print a badge for you ahead of time. With an 8:30 am start time, we want to ensure that no one misses the ceremony having to stand in line to get a badge. Here’s the solution:

  • If the graduation guest is in town and able to, please have them come scan their license in the JES office prior to Wednesday.
  • If that’s not a possibility, please email jesoffice@southlakecarroll.edu with the following information prior to Wednesday: first & last name exactly as it appears on the license, DL state (if outside of Texas), DL number, and birthdate.

4th Grade Graduation and Clap Out

Our 4th grade graduation ceremony will be held at 8:00 am on Wednesday, May 24. Doors will open at 7:35. Also, 4th grade Clap Out will be at 11:00 am on Thursday, May 25. If you haven't already, please RSVP to avoid the lines to get a visitor badge for these events.

Library

Please make sure that all library books and audio books have been returned back to the library. If your student is missing or has lost a book, please reach out to Mrs. Clark at JJ.Clark@southlakecarroll.edu

Nurse

If your student has medication or health supplies in the school clinic, please pick these items up before the last day of school. For our student’s safety and security, we will not send medication home with students. All medications, prescription and over the counter, will be destroyed at the end of the day on Thursday, May 25. No medication will be “held over” for the next school year. Please contact our Nurse if you have any questions.

Lost & Found

Our Lost & Found is overflowing again! If your student is missing an item, please have them check the lost and found in the cafeteria. If you would rather look for yourself, please don't hesitate to stop by. We will donate all unclaimed items to charity at the end of the school year.
