A note from Paula Dillon:
Hello Teachers and Staff,
My AP Euro students are doing their "Flat Stanley" project this week, in which they are taking their flat monarchs on an adventure through Northgate High School., They have to find a teacher or other staff member to introduce their flat monarch to and tell you about their reign, and are required to get a picture for our Flat Stanley album as well as your signature. If you prefer to NOT participate and do not want students to come to you, please e-mail me directly and let me know.
Thank you in advance! They were telling me how excited they are to show you their project :)

A note from Lisa about Subs:
I want to begin with thanking all of the faculty who helped cover classes during their prep periods last Monday and Tuesday. We had 9 teachers who helped cover nearly 15 classes when three of our teachers were unable to get substitutes on Monday. On Tuesday, we had an additional 3 teachers help to cover classes as well. I am deeply thankful for your time.
I want to take a moment to ask three things of all our faculty when they schedule their own absences.
First, you must make sure that the substitute reporting time is included in Frontline. Many of you have listed the reporting time the same as the start of class time. For example, many of you are asking your subs to arrive at 7:55 and that is when they should be in your class and ready to teach. Please request that your subs arrive 15 minutes before the bell of your first class and stays 10 minutes after the last bell.
Second, if you teach more than three hours and forty minutes, that is considered a full day for subbing purposes. The end time should not be at the end of your last class but 10 minutes after the last school bell. The office will make the determination when the sub leaves early or not.
Third, please make sure that if you have arranged for your classes to be covered by other faculty members and not a substitute, that I am told. The person who is going to be absent is responsible for letting me know the details. I need to make sure that I know who is in the class and when. Plus I want to make sure that everyone is paid for their time.
Once again, thank you to everyone who helped out last Monday and Tuesday!
Lisa
