CAPT News
Rodman Pre-K CAPT is excited about the items we have planned!
The most immediate items:
November 5th (a school holiday) is our dining night at Stone L'Oven. 5-9pm, dine in or take out, just mention us.
November 12th 6-7pm is the monthly meeting. We will have babysitting. We need you to show up and let us know that CAPT is important.
November 15th-22nd is the Scholastic Book Fair. You can sign up to volunteer at https://bit.ly/340m4QG In particular, we are looking for help with set up and break down plus on Wednesday. If your conference is during your shift, we can make it work.
Thank you to everyone who has helped so far with the fall event at Pequitside, the book club and book fair preparations, etc. It's greatly appreciated. We're also looking for anyone with accounting or tax experience who wants to volunteer some time.

Curriculum Corner
Next week we will begin our author study of Anna Dewdney. You may know her best because she is the author of the Llama, Llama books (Llama, Llama Red Pajama). We will be reading many of her stories and even exploring some of her less famous ones. This unit helps us learn about the work of authors, the importance of storytelling and writing and how to identify characters in a story. As in every unit, we will also be integrating important early literacy, math and science concepts through hands on experiences and play based learning opportunities.
Please feel free to borrow one of her books from our library in the hall. Our focus this month, and every month, is to get families reading together more. Twenty minutes a day of reading with your child can make a world of difference! Invest the time. I promise it is worth it:)
Reminders
Have a wonderful, sunny weekend everyone! As always do not hesitate to reach out with any questions or concerns.
