Report Student Harassment/Bullying

Did you know we have an electronic form on our website to report student harassment or bullying? If your child has been experiencing harassment or bullying, please fill out the form to make a report. You can find a "Report Student Harassment/Bullying" link on our website under the Parents heading. The report will go directly to the district's DASA (Dignity for All Students Act) Coordinator, Mr. Elliott Butt. Once reviewed, Mr. Butt will coordinate an investigation into the matter. With your help, we hope to continue to fight against bullying and create a welcoming environment for all students in Gananda Central School District.

Parent Volunteer Registration Form

We are excited to reinstate Parent Volunteers in our schools! If you are interested in volunteering for school events, athletics, classroom activities, or as a school helper in the cafeteria, library, or the school offices at any point during the school year, please complete the Parent Volunteer Registration Form. You can also find this form on our website under the Parents heading. It takes approximately three weeks for approval to volunteer due to the background checks and board approval process necessary for access to our school buildings during the day. We look forward to working with you in the coming weeks!

Tonsil stones form when debris, such as food, dead cells, bacteria, and other substances, becomes trapped on the tonsils.

Tonsil stones are generally easy to extract, and some people remove them when they cough. Gargling with salty water may also dislodge them. A person may need to gargle vigorously if the stones are well established.

Symptoms may include a sensation of something stuck in the throat, bad breath, sore throat, difficulty swallowing, and ear pain.

Many require no treatment. Larger ones can be removed by a doctor. A person should see a doctor if:

  • they have symptoms of tonsil stones but cannot see them

  • they cannot remove the tonsil stones at home or can only remove a portion of the stones

  • their tonsils are red, swollen, or painful

  • they feel pain after removing a tonsil stone at home

  • their throat is so swollen that breathing becomes difficult

Elementary Lunch Visitors

We are excited to announce the return of lunch visitors to Richard Mann Elementary. Parents/Guardians are invited to join us as lunch visitors, however, we do have a couple of updates to the lunch visitor process. The updates are to ensure the safety and security of our students and staff within our school building. Please note the process below:

  1. If you wish to have lunch with your student, you will need to register at least one day in advance of joining your student for lunch. To register, call the main office at 315-986-3521 ext. 8-1511 between 8:30am-3:30pm.
  2. Due to spacing limitations, we cannot accommodate younger siblings at this time. Please leave younger siblings at home.
  3. You are invited to bring your lunch in, however, we ask that you do not bring in outside restaurant food for your child. We do not allow students to order food to be brought into school.
  4. When you arrive for your lunch, please remember to bring your Photo ID with you. You will need to enter the main office to receive a Visitor Badge.
