All uniform items must adhere to the policy as listed below. Any item of clothing that is excessive in distaste, fit, condition, or distraction may result in removal from the classroom, parent/guardian call for alternative clothing, and/or discipline referral at the discretion of the principal.
(K-3rd) Shirts Red solid colored polo shirts (short or long-sleeved) are the only acceptable uniform shirt for both boys and girls. Shirts must be tucked in at all times. Solid colored undershirts (red or white) must be worn under polo shirts.
(4th-5th) Shirts Gray solid colored polo shirts (short or long-sleeved) are the only acceptable uniform shirt for both boys and girls. Shirts must be tucked in at all times. Solid colored undershirts (gray or white) must be worn under polo shirts.
(6th-8th) Shirts Black or white solid colored polo shirts (short or long-sleeved) are the only acceptable uniform shirt for both boys and girls. Shirts must be tucked in at all times. Solid colored undershirts (black or white) must be worn under polo shirts.
(K-8th) Skirts/Skorts Khaki or black cotton twill pleated or flat front skirts/skorts are the only acceptable uniform skirts/skorts. All skirts/skorts must be at least mid-thigh length (below extended fingertips). Shorts or underskirts should be worn under all skirts/skorts.
(K-8th) Shorts Khaki or black cotton twill pleated or flat front shorts are the only acceptable uniform shorts for both boys and girls. Shorts must be factory hemmed and be securely fastened at the waistline. No sagging or drooping is acceptable. Short length must be within three inches of knees. Shorts are not acceptable on cold weather days.
(K-8th) Pants Khaki or black cotton twill pleated or flat front pants are the only acceptable uniform pants for both boys and girls. Pants must be securely fastened at the waistline with a belt (black or brown). No sagging or drooping is acceptable. Pants are not to drag on the ground. Pedal-pusher, cargo, and capri pants are not acceptable.
Sweaters/Sweatshirts Solid colored red (K-3rd), gray (4th-5th), or black (6th-8th) crew neck, v-neck, and cardigan sweaters/sweatshirts are the only acceptable uniform sweaters/sweatshirt for both boys and girls. All sweaters/sweatshirts must be worn over grade-level specific colored polo shirts. No zip-ups or hoodies are permitted or logos may appear on sweaters/sweatshirts.
Belts Black or brown belts must be worn with shorts/pants with belt loops at all times. Belts must be no more than 2” in width and must be worn through the belt loops of the pants. Belt buckles must be plain and not oversized, branded, or iconic.
Shoes/Boots Any color closed (heal and toe) and sturdy shoes/boots are the only acceptable shoes/boots to be worn.
Socks Socks must be worn at all times. Any color crew, calf-length, and knee-high socks or tights are acceptable to be worn. No logos may appear on socks or tights.
Hair All scholars’ hair must be neat, clean, and well-groomed. Hairstyles should not create a safety or health hazard and/or interfere with the educational environment of the school. Decorations in hair must not be excessive or have the potential to cause distractions. Any hair decoration that is excessive in size or distraction may be removed at the discretion of the principal.
Hair Coverings Head coverings acceptable in a “professional” work setting are acceptable. This means head wraps and bands are allowed if they are neatly tied and not distracting to the learning environment. Du-rags, sleep scarves, skullcaps, and bonnets are not allowed.
Jewelry, Body Piercing, Tattoos Outside of earrings, no body piercing is permitted. Tattoos are not permitted. Any tattoos, temporary or permanent, must be removed before the scholar may attend class. Jewelry should not dangle (earrings, necklaces, chains, etc.) or interfere with the educational environment of the school. Necklaces or chains may not be worn on the outside of the school shirt or jumper. Boys and girls may wear stud-style earrings (one per ear) that fasten securely to the ear lobe and do not dangle. Outside of a watch, no excessive bracelets may be worn. Hair Bands, Silly Bands, and rubber bands are not to be worn on the fingers, hands, feet, ankles, legs, wrist, arms, or neck. A single ring may be worn on each hand. Any jewelry that is excessive in size or distraction may be removed at the discretion of the teacher and principal.
