Daily Schedule (Remote & On-Site Learners)
Reminders as you head into next week...
In preparation for Monday, please be aware that traffic throughout Deerfield and closest to our schools will be extremely heavy. We thank you in advance for your patience and cooperation as we build a steady rhythm of pick-up and drop-off traffic flow after the first week of the full return. Please be sure to reference the arrival and dismissal information provided in the family presentation linked above as it details how and where to drop off and pick up students by grade level. Please also be cognizant of our school buses as they will need to have clear lanes around Caruso to arrive at their stagging areas and also will need to exit at a timely manner to keep all routes running on time. Additional staff will be located outside of Caruso helping with traffic but please take time to familiarize yourself with the procedures before Monday.
ALL-SCHOOL ASSEMBLY
All students both on-site and remote will join us for an All-School Virtual Assembly to kick off our final quarter during homeroom. More information including the zoom link will be sent to all students on Monday morning.
DAILY CERTIFICATION FORM CHANGING!
Please note that you will need to fill a different daily health certification form for your child once the AM & PM sections are gone. You can find a link to it here (insert your link) and the district has made a helpful video showing you how to fill it out if you're not as familiar with the process or want a refresher!
QUARANTINE EXPLANATION
There are a number of different scenarios that may require your child to be quarantined, ranging from 24 hours to 14 days. Please watch this short video from the district explaining the details and differences.
LIVE STREAMING -- IMPORTANT MIDDLE SCHOOL DIFFERENCE
Beginning March 8, we will have the capability to live stream instruction based on different circumstances. At all grades, it will be used for students quarantining. You can read more about that here. At the middle school, it will also be used as part of all practical arts & world language classes. You can read about that here.
LUNCH
Detailed information regarding lunch can be found in the family presentation but we would also like to reiterate all students will be eating in a location that allows for 6-feet social distancing and will be provided individual dividers for their eating space. In order to achieve the 6-feet in each space students will either be eating in the assigned Core Class (see image below for what Core is associated with each grade level) or in the cafeteria. Please have your student(s) check their DPS109 email starting on Thursday and prior to Monday for more information on lunch and the location they will be eating at each day. Marlas Lunch will begin on Thursday, March 11th and each ordered lunch will be delivered to the appropriate classroom for students. Information on how to order lunch is linked above.
