Dress Code
-As a courtesy to the other guests at the hotel, it is very important that in between classes and during free time your officers wear appropriate cover-ups.
-Your officer group will be permitted to wear their outfit of choice for the optional Home Routine and Camp Dance performances. However for the final day performances which include both the Choreography & Dynamics Evaluation and the Chosen Routine, we ask that your dancers wear ALL BLACK with their hair pulled back neatly out of their face.
Chosen Routine Sessions
-At the welcome session Day 1, Directors will have an opportunity to view all of the chosen routines that will be taught in the routine sessions.
-Directors will need to turn in the number of officers you will send to each routine on the evening of Day 1 by the beginning of the Home Routine Evaluation.
- AMP'D-- The number of officers you send to any of the Chosen Routines offered on Day 2 must be less than half of the total number of officers.
- UNPLUGGED--You may choose to send your entire squad to any one of the Chosen Routines on Day 2, or to split up your officer line.
You will be permitted to send your entire Officer Line to any of the various Master Classes and Workshops offered on Day 3 if you desire.
Camp Performances
Each director will draw a number at camp registration. All performances will be done in order according to those numbers, as indicated below:
- The Home Routines will be performed in order from lowest to highest number.
- The OPTIONAL Compulsory Evaluation will be performed in order from lowest number to highest number.
- The Camp Dance performance order will be from highest to lowest number.
- The Choreography & Dynamics will be evaluated in order from lowest to highest number.
- The Chosen Routine evaluations will be grouped according to the routine and from highest to lowest number within each group.
-Before camp, Directors will receive a video link of the OPTIONAL Compulsory Technique Evaluation combination. If you would like your team to participate in this evaluation, please make sure they learn the routine from the video and rehearse it prior to camp beginning. There will NOT be dedicated time in the camp schedule for learning the Compulsory combination.
-Please rehearse and evaluate the Camp Dance choreography as taught, taking only the technical skill options explicitly outlined in the teaching session. Teams making changes to the choreography risk losing points on the evaluation.
-Because we feel that good sportsmanship and support for your fellow dancers are essential qualities of a great Officer Line, we will require that all camp participants be present during all evaluations in which you are participating.
-There will be multiple teams performing at one time during Final Performances, therefore we strongly encourage all directors to use courtesy when supporting their own line.
-We welcome parents for all performances on Day 1 evening and Day 4 morning. Day 2 Camp Dance evaluations are open to camp participants and directors only.
