S.M.A.R.T. TUTORING FROM OUR MOMS STUDENTS
Hi all families,
We hope you are staying safe and doing well. Our names are Armaan and Swetha and we are 8th grade students at Mount Olive Middle School. We understand that during this pandemic, many students are having difficulties understanding the concepts of Mathematics. That is why we created S.M.A.R.T, a volunteer tutoring company designed to assist the third, fourth, and fifth graders with the subject of mathematics and writing. If your child needs a little extra support, we are the right people to contact. Even if your child is not struggling, we provide lessons for every skill level, and go off their curriculum, so they could get a deeper understanding of the subject. This is not a program that you have to pay for, because we are doing this as a voluntary company. If you are interested, please take a look at the flier that is attached. We hope to see your children in our program.
Thank you,
Swetha Gundala and Armaan Shankar

I am so excited for the second half of the school year! We have some fun events planned which have created some amazing opportunities for awesome people to show off their skills! If you are interested in chairing or co-chairing any of the following events, please email me at trs.pto.pres@gmail.com
Readathon - Our biggest fundraiser of the year is held the first week in March in conjunction with Mrs. Capone and Read Across America Week. This is an online event and chair will be responsible for determining prizes and promoting the event.
VIP Dance - Scheduled for Friday, May 6th: Open to all students to invite a Very Important Person in their life to enjoy a night filled with dancing and fun. Chair will be responsible for organizing, decorating and running the event.
Teacher Appreciation Week: A great opportunity to pair with a friend and get creative! This week long event is dedicated to showing our teachers and staff how much they are appreciated!
Mrs. Durland is in need of some supplies for the art room. She is looking for egg cartons, non-coated paper plates, any size/color cupcake liners, instant coffee containers, and condiment cups with lids. If you can, please send in supplies with your students.
As always, if you have any questions, suggestions or you are interested in volunteering, please email me at trs.pto.pres@gmail.com.
Have a great weekend!
