Pete J. Pawelek
Pleasanton ISD School Board District 7
Pete J. Pawelek was born and raised in Atascosa County. He graduated from Jourdanton High School and attended Southwest Texas State University. He returned to work in his family's farming and ranching operation. He is married to Lynse Owen Pawelek, who graduated from PISD and has been a teacher, special educator, counselor and administrator in Pleasanton ISD for over 30 years. The Paweleks' four sons attended Pleasanton schools and their grandchildren are currently enrolled as third generation students in PISD. Mr. Pawelek has been active in school, community and civic organizations. When the boys were young, he attended many school field trips as a class Dad and he took many students and family members to area and state stock shows for 20 years. He has served on the FFA Advisory Committee for Pleasanton ISD and Jourdanton ISD and has received awards from both FFA chapters and the Friend of 4H and Father of the Year for 4H clubs. His civic responsibilities have included participation and leadership for the Atascosa County Livestock Show, Pleasanton Young Farmers, Pleasanton, Atascosa County Emergency Operating Committee and Atascosa County Farm Bureau.
