A Note from Mrs. Halligan
February has arrived! We have a lot of activities coming up over the next few weeks. Please make sure that you take note of upcoming dates.
We are so excited to announce our Teacher of the Year, Mrs. Wilson and Paraprofessional of the Year, Mrs. Melton! These ladies work hard everyday to ensure that your students succeed and have a great time at school each day. We are so glad that they are part of our Birmingham family.
Please remember that school starts at 7:30. We have an increasing number of students that are arriving after 7:30. Students that arrive after 7:30, will need to have a parent walk them into the building and check them in. Thank you for help in getting students to school on time.
Enjoy your week!
Mrs. Halligan

Gifted and Talented Screenings
Parents,
It’s almost time for GT Spring Screening referrals! Do you think your child should be in GT? Please refer them for screening! Remember this is only for 1st, 3rd, and 4th grade students.
If you have a child who consistently scores at or above the 95th percentile on MAP (reading, math, OR both), please consider referring him or her for screening.
The referral window begins Monday, February 3rd and ends on February 28th @ 3pm.
We use the same form for teacher and parent referrals. You can pick up forms in the office starting Monday, February 3rd or print them from the district GT website at https://www.wylieisd.net/Page/13171.
Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns.
Thank you,
Chrissie Ezell
