Keeping You Informed
The Hemlock Public School District believes in partnering with families and the community. Communication, with any relationship, is crucial and it is essential to our vision and mission to keep our district informed.
Board of Education President Ellison, said, “In today’s fast-paced world, there are so many options for communication that it’s important to know which method suits our students and parents best and cater to their needs.”
The school district in an effort to enhance and improve communication has worked to update the school website and create a downloadable Hemlock Huskie App. Please click on the link for step by step directions at http://www.hemlockps.com/directions-to-download-notification-app-to-your-mobile-device
These efforts have helped coordinate our communication and provide instant access to parents to relevant information such as our new Huskie Hub to keep students and teachers connected.
Superintendent Don Killingbeck said, “Improving our digital footprint and enhancing our communication platform is just another example of Hemlock Public School Districts’commitment to our families and community.”
Students’ Chromebooks will connect automatically. Family members can connect by agreeing to the district’s acceptable use policy and by entering their email address

20-21 Course Request Time
Athletic Physicals for 2020-2021 School Year
Per the MHSAA...
Preparticipation Physical Examinations (Regulation I, Section 3 and Interpretation 20): For the 2020-21 school year the MHSAA pre-participation sports physical requirement will be waived for students in any grade who received a valid physical for sports during the 2019-20 school year (one completed on or after April 15, 2019). These students and their parents/guardians will be required to complete the two-page MHSAA ANNUAL SPORTS HEALTH QUESTIONNAIRE. These must be signed by student and parent/guardian and kept on file in the school.
Students who did not receive a sports physical in the 2019-20 school year or later must have a valid physical examination form on file. If a student is discovered to have participated without a valid physical or Health Questionnaire on file, the student shall not be eligible to participate until a valid physical or Health Questionnaire is on file.
The Hemlock Athletic Department will be sending out more information regarding the MHSAA questionnaire.

Remember Local Businesses
Our local businesses often help us with many things throughout the year. They donate their time and money to many sports teams (youth through high school age), drama clubs, and robotics teams just to name a few. Don't forget about them during this time. Many of them are closed now due to the "Stay at Home" order from Governor Whitmer, but many of our local restaurants are still open for take-out/delivery.
