Fall Is In The Air!
Some of the best oils to diffuse for that wonderful fall smell in your home are:
Thieves
Clove
Ginger
Orange
Nutmeg
Cinnamon
Cardamon
Patchouli
Bergamot
All these oils are going to be the hot item right now! especially with seeing other post about what they've made or how they are using each oil.
For the vendor fair going on tomorrow I made some amazing "Snicker Doodle sugar scrub" and "Pumpkin Spice Latte lip balm" that I can hand out as samples. I will add in recipes below for you to try out, and they are super simple to do!
With this cooler weather approaching my skin is also starting to get a bit dry so I've mixed up some awesome lavender lotion bars to help moisturize my skin better! Let me tell you, these beauties work like a dream!
If there are any questions you might have feel free to leave a comment, email me or text me. I will be more than happy to help you with any questions you have.
Pumpkin Spice latte lip balm
2 tsp coconut oil
1 tsp cocoa butter
2 tsp toasted pumpkin seed oil
(melt down these 4 in a glass bowl, microwave works)
add in:
4 drops cinnamon bark essential oil
2 drops clove essential oil
2 drops nutmeg essential oil
mix and use a piper (disposable plastic works best) to fill lip balm tubes or jars.
Snicker Doodle Sugar Scrub
1 cup white sugar
1/2 cup coconut oil
1 tsp vanilla
6 drops cinnamon essential oil
4 drops nutmeg essential oil
mix all together well and store in a glass mason jar.
Lavender Lotion bars
- 3 ounces beeswax
- 2 ounces coconut oil
- 2 ounces shea butter
- 20 drops lavender essential oil
- In a saucepan with double boiler, melt beeswax, coconut oil and shea butter over low heat. When liquid, remove from heat immediately.
- Stir in essential oils and dried lavender. Pour into molds (you can either use a silicone mold or a mini-muffin pan like I did).
- When hardened, un-mold bars and store in a cool, dry place.
- To use, rub over areas of skin that need extra moisture, and massage in like you would lotion.
