Panther Pause
20 years of Pride at Colleyville Heritage High School
4.7.17
Panthers,
We had another great week here at CHHS. This is the time of year when I feel like everything is moving at the speed of light. It feels like only yesterday we were starting school in August, and now here we are beginning some of our senior events moving the clock toward graduation. As I have reflected about some of the great things that this senior class has accomplished, it reminds me how truly blessed we are as educators to get to work with such great kids who are capable of doing so many things both in and out of the classroom. I am very excited for graduation and a night to celebrate this great group of seniors, but I am even more excited about everything that they are going to accomplish between now and graduation. As the countdown toward the end of the school year heats up, please continue to urge your kids to keep up with assignments and grades. This is the time of year where we can begin to lose focus on the learning by all of the outside distractions, and I would hate to see such hard work lost in such a short period of time. Have a great weekend and GO PANTHERS!!

The first thing I enjoy most about Colleyville Heritage High School would be knowing so many unique people. Everyone here has their own story, and being able to tap into those wonderful experiences help me grow as an individual. There is a general feeling of closeness in the halls at CHHS; a feeling I will gravely miss when in college.
The second thing I enjoy most about CHHS would be our yearbook program. I have been in the program for three years now, and it's safe to say that each year has out shined the one before. Getting to create the book that houses so many memories, has not only taught me the value of school spirit, but also the importance of teamwork and dedication.

ACCEPTED Wall
Exciting New Endeavor! CHHS PTSA is collaborating with CHHS AVID to create a space on our campus that will showcase the accomplishments of our CHHS seniors and where they have been accepted to college. It will be called an ACCEPTED Wall. The purpose of the ACCEPTED Wall is to highlight exceptional college campuses all over the United States and beyond, and to start a conversation about how and why to choose a school of higher learning.
Here is how students and parents can help:
1. We would like pennants from colleges that you visit. While you are on a tour, pick up a pennant to donate. They can be dropped at the CHHS office beginning Tuesday, January 17th .
2. When you receive acceptance confirmation and decide on a college, scan your letter and send it Dawn Treese at dawn@treese.org. These will be framed and hung on the ACCEPTED Wall.
Questions? Contact Dawn Treese at dawn@treese.org
