Plano RDSPD Staff News - October 23, 2015
What a busy week!
Thanks to all of you who attended the October Parent Meeting & Student Social and encouraged your families to attend. I feel like the start of our predicted rain storms put a damper on our attendance. I heard great comments from the parents who attended. Becky White had the highest percentage of parent participation with 29%. Who will get the prize for our next meeting in early December?
Shirt Sales have been extended until next Wednesday, October 28. This allows staff time for our October pay check. Please turn your order into your team leader or Ann by Wednesday.
The Garage Sale has been postponed due to the weather until Saturday, November 7. Please continue to support the student efforts by donating your unneeded treasures, volunteering to help, and loaning the use of tables if you have any.

Please review the Communication Modality Continuum - https://drive.google.com/a/pisd.edu/file/d/0B6dsJkpn4D0rdnBlQnctOFhwS3c/view?usp=sharing As you observe and assess your students, look at how they communicate in various settings. Remember that a student's communication mode can vary throughout the day based on the environment and the complexity of the learning activity. This chart helps us look at how a child communicates and what accommodations they might use or need.
