River Place Elementary ~ 4th Grade ~ Sept. 19, 2016
Reading: Students will be able to read a variety of texts and determine the author’s purpose.
Writing: Students will be able to write an organized narrative. They will also be able to use apostrophes correctly in their writing.
Social Studies: Students will describe a variety of regions in Texas and will compare the regions of Texas with other regions.
Math: This week students will begin a second unit of study, Multi-digit Multiplication and Early Division. Over the next two weeks students will represent the product of 2 two-digit numbers using arrays, area models and equations.
Science: Our electricity investigations this week will help students understand that some materials are better conductors and insulators of electricity.
Leader In Me Classroom Update
This week we will continue learning about what it means to "Carry Your Own Weather."
Proactive people can carry their own weather with them. Whether it rains or shines makes no difference to them.
