Tonight, all three elementary schools got together for a fun night of bowling! Staff gathered to bowl, laugh and show off their talents. It was a wonderful opportunity for all of us to get-together.

2nd grade scientists

In MakerSpace this week, Kindergarten, First, and Second graders were scientists! They did an experiment with oil and water. As scientists, they first wrote a lab report about their experiment, what materials they needed, questions about their experiment and a hypothesis. After they wrote the lab report they did the experiment and talked about why water and oil don't mix and that water is denser than oil.

CINCO DE MAYO PARTY TO BENEFIT WAMOGO STUDENTS

"This summer, a group of Wamogo High School students will be going to Mexico through Operation Wallacea, a British organization that runs scientific research trips for teens around the world. The first week of the trip they will be spent exploring the Silva Maya on the Yucatan Peninsula, with an emphasis on studying wildlife biodiversity. Additionally, students will have the opportunity to scuba dive while in Akumal, where they will collect data on sea turtle migrations. Proceeds from the Cinco de Mayo dinner will help the group cover the costs of this amazing trip!

BOX TOPS

Good Morning!

Please continue to clip Box Tops off your favorite products! Ten cents doesn't sound like much but they add up fast and help the PTO provide Enrichment opportunities for GCS students. If possible, ask other family members, co-workers and neighbors to collect them as well. This is a quick reminder that at the end of each month the classroom that has collected the most Box Topsgets a prize. See the below attachment for a list of products that have Box Tops on their labels.

A big thank you to our BTFE coordinators, Heike Robillard and Chrissy Steward.

Thank you!
