February Conferences

Each year, we have two "official" chances for families to meet with teachers to talk about your student(s). The next dates are February 22 and 23. Please sign up for a conference with each child's teacher by clicking this link.

The link takes you to a Sign-up Genius (same as in the past), but please notice that the first page that opens is Mrs. Henneberry's 5K class. For all other classes, you must scroll across the tabs at the top to find your child's homeroom teacher.

Our goal is to meet with EVERY family. You can help us meet our goal and get valuable information about your child's growth by signing up right away. Thank you!

Admiral's Game Field Trip

If you have not returned your Admiral's game permission slip and $10 fee, please send both to school right away. The field trip is on Wednesday, March 1.

Students cannot be late to school that day! Buses leave shortly after school starts. There will not be anyone in the office. 4K has a regular day of school and will be staying at Lakeview.

Smart Smiles

Lakeview will again be participating in the Smart Smiles program, a free dental wellness checkup program. Checkups will be the week of March 20, but families must register in advance. Paper forms were sent home or you can sign up online by clicking this link.

4K Registration for 2023-24 is open

Do you have a student who will be 4 years old on or before September 1, 2024? If so, then register him/her for 4K right now. Families that register now have a better chance of getting one of the all-day 4K spot in South Milwaukee. If you have a relative or neighbor that might have an eligible child, share this information with them.

Click here for information about South Milwaukee's 4K program. Contact the office if you have questions and register now.

Golden Lions

This week at Lakeview, we gave out many Pride Perks coupons, but also 17 special Golden Lions to recognize our Be Safe ~ Be Respectful ~ Be Engaged expectations. Here are the Golden Lions for this week:

• While lining up for recess, Oscar noticed that a 1st grader had tripped and was on the ground. He stopped, went back to check on her, and then offered his hand to help her up. It wasn't just an awesome student moment, it was an awesome human moment! The world needs more awesome humans like you!

• On the carpet, Ms. Lund noticed that Jayliz was following the classroom expectations and was showing that she was so engaged. She was also able to show her engagement by raising her hand to answer questions. Way to go, Jayliz!

• Emiliano and his math partner were completely engaged in their math and using the patterns they noticed between factors doubling and their relationship to their product. Keep up the hard work!

• Izzy and his math partner were completely engaged in their math and using the patterns they noticed between factors doubling and their relationship to their product. Keep up the hard work!
