Qualification of congressmen & job expectation

If you want to be a representative, then you have to be 25 years of age, a citizen of the U.S. for at least seven years, and live in the same state you want to represent. If you want to be a Senate, then you must be 30 years of age, and have been a citizen in the U.S. for nine years.

Each House makes up their own rules. Members can be punished for inappropriate behavior. A member may be expelled with 2/3rds vote.

How a Bill Becomes a Law

Congress fights about if its a law we need for the country, it gets voted on. Then it will go to the president. If he did likes the bill then he can veto it and it goes away, but if he likes the bill then it goes to the Supreme Court and they decide if it follows the constitution or not.
