Module 7 Lesson 1
Spongebob
SpongeBob
SpongeBob woke up one morning with loud knocking at his door. Little did he know that it was the police outside ready to arrest him. They told him his four rights and he was fingerprinted and photographed.
He went to court for a hearing where they decide the cause and bail. He was informed that the secret Krabby Patty recipe was stolen and that Mr. Krabs accused him of stealing it since he was the only person who knew where it was.
Later they told him he needed to go to a grand jury since there was not enough evidence. There was no indictment and he was not charges with Felony Charges which meant that he didn’t commit this criminal crime.
A witness who had gotten a subpoena, went to court and stated that saw plankton had broken into the Krusty Krabs.
Plankton went through the same process but was put into the petit jury since they had enough evidence that he stole the secret Krabby patty formula. Plankton couldn't afford a lawyer so they gave him a Public Defender.
At the Arraignment the defendant, Plankton enters a Plea of not guilty instead of a plea bargain where he would agree to plead guilty to some criminal charge in exchange for some stated concession from the prosecutor. Since he lied under the oath and so the perjury was added to his crimes.
The judge returned with a verdict of conviction, this meant he was guilty. There will be no appeal for Plankton since they were certain that he was guilty.
