Bonjour! Je m’appelle Mme Taber.
Education: I graduated from the University of Rhode Island with a degree in Education and French, and with a minor in German. I studied at the University of Dijon in France for a quarter, and lived with a French family during that time.
Experience: I have taught foreign language since 1977. I have enjoyed working with kids from preschool age up to High School, and even at the Community College level. I have taught at Evergreen Academy for 16 years. I firmly believe that language exposure at an early age helps students to progress quickly in speaking and understanding not only a foreign language, but other cultures as well.
Passions and Interests: My passion is teaching children and helping them to understand the global world through learning the French language, culture, customs and people. My family had a foreign exchange student from Austria live with us for a year when I was in High School. From then on, I have always had an interest in foreign languages and visiting other countries. I love to travel, and try to get to France whenever I can. My most recent trip to Europe, took me to Belgium. I also enjoy reading, gardening, and making rubber stamped cards.
