Political Action in Earth Club
Last week Monroe County Legislators George Hebert and Matthew Terp came and spoke to us about a Monroe County Action Plan Committee that they are proposing. This idea was presented by students to the board and due to their persistence, our legislators have heard their voices and are taking action. At our meeting today, they presented our students with the opportunity to apply to be an ex-officio member as a Student Advisor on the committee. Over the next few Earth Club meetings our students will be writing resumes and essays for their applications.
It is great to see how our passionate Thomas students are taking action and having a positive impact on the Webster community in ways much larger than our school.
