Why Im Endangered!

What am I?

We are very rare animals that can be found on the island of Madagascar. We are related to chimpanzees, apes, and humans. We are usually a dark brown or black, and we have a bushy tale that is larger than are body! My scientific name is Daubentonia Madagascariensis!

Why am I endangered?

Our natural habitat is being destroyed so we are forced to try and find a new habitat. The humans think that we are bad luck so they kill us on sight. The humans once thought that we were extinct but recent discovery's suggest there may be 100 or more of us alive. (which is true)

I would be missed because...

I am very important in the ecosystem because Im the one that eats the bugs so if Im not here than the bugs might invade Madagascar, and what are you going to do then? Plus look at my cute face!

What can the humans do to help keep us alive?

  • They could help us by trying not to kill us when they see us!
  • They could try to preserve space for us
  • They could also just try not to cut down any more of the forest
