Project Instructions
2. Once you know the size of your front and back cover, use a ruler to measure and create a template for your cardstock pages. Book pages should be the same size or slightly smaller than the cover. You will need approximately 10-15 pages to go inside each of your book earrings.
3. Use a glue stick to glue the cut out pages of the book together. Be sure that they line up nicely so you can later glue them flat inside your book covers.
Steps 4 and 5 are done together, and you need to work quickly...
4. Using a hot glue gun, line the inside of the book spine with a strip of glue, and place an earring eye pin along the glue line. Make sure the circular end is at the top because this is what you will use to attach your earwire. Eye pins will need to be trimmed to size using wirecutters, and I suggest doing this before you glue them into the book
5. After placing your eye pin along the spine take your block of cardstock book pages and quickly lay them along the same strip of hot glue. Press down hard to guarantee a proper fit.
6. Once the glue has cooled, use your glue stick to adhere the front and back covers to the pages.
7. Attach the earwire using a pair of needle nose pliers
8. Use a foam brush to apply a coat of Mod Podge to seal the covers. It will go on white, but dry clear. Drying times vary. I recommend hanging the earrings to dry
