Report Card posting update - Due April 1st in Aspen as the window was extended. We will let you know when we plan to send report cards home.
Dear Tiogue Faculty & Staff:
In hopes of relieving some of the stress, begin to examine some of the compiled manageable set of excellent resources to help you build your online instructional skills and foster a productive, supportive virtual community. We are all in this together. Keep sharing with one another and collaborate to the fullest extent. We will get better at this each and everyday.
We will begin to use our new lesson plan template this week, in preparation for Week 3 of Distance Learning. Governor Gina Raimondo is set to address Distance Learning at her press conference sometime on Monday, 3/30.

Communication with families - Don's email from last Friday
I know we have stated that each student should get contacted daily. Please consider a few things: 1) It doesn't always have to be a phone call. You can establish contact through hangout or zoom conversations. You may also have regular emails. 2) Please coordinate the calls. We don't want to overwhelm families with multiple calls a day. Classroom teachers should coordinate with special educators, itinerant and support personnel. 3) If a parent opts out of calls, please give them that option or respect the request and communicate it to each other. And document it. See your principal for more guidance.

Tiger King - most popular show on Netflix right now
"Rated" R for everything and anything.
It is insane to say the least. Think Pulp Fiction, but it is reality.

Lemony Snicket's Series of Unfortunate Events
We will schedule Google Meet video conferences again this week - be on the lookout in your inbox for invites.
We are finding out about whether or not we can continue to use Zoom. More to come on this topic. I would suggest using Google Meet for now, even though we have found that the "Meet" links do not expire.
A Broad List of PD options for our TAs that everyone may be interested in-
Think about some interesting and fun things that we can do for our students. Watch the movie shared by Daye that Narragansett Faculty and Staff put together for their kids. Let's do this too. Also, I have a few families recording video of their kids taking the Pledge of Allegiance this week. We will share those videos daily.
A great resource from AFT
I just came across this series of webinars scheduled for next week by AFT.
Of course, they are timely and may provide some valuable information.
