The Could Forest
Its location is in Costa Rica around the city of Monteverde. 90% of the reserve in Monteverde is forest. The forest contains has around 100 species of mammals, 400 bird species, 120 reptile and amphibian species, and over 1,000 different insects. Also it contains around 2,500 different plant species.
How Ecotourism benefits the Cloud Forest
Ecotourism made not only the reserve of the cloud forest to expand but also helped the whole country to have more reserves. Ecotourism is one of the country's biggest helps with money, ever since Ecotourism has became popular many people in Costa Rica have had a higher GDP per capita.
Ecotourism adventures in the area
The Cloud Forest on average gets about 70,000 visitors a year. Many websites are recommending visiting the cloud forest for example National Geographic is taking people out around the cloud forest and other places in Costa Rica. Also there are hiking tours, horseback riding, and canopy tours.
