Dear Parents / Carers,

Well, we've finally made it to the end of term and what a strange term it has been!

We have had a lovely week singing together but distanced outside, wrapped up in coats, hats and scarves. We have made a variety of Christmas crafts and enjoyed a socially distanced Christmas dinner whilst wearing a whole range of Christmas jumpers. This afternoon we have had a very special message from Santa which can be found on our website (thanks to FOKF for arranging) and every child has received a chocolate gift from the Friends of Kirk Fenton via Santa too.

I have nothing but praise for all the amazing staff in school who have worked incredibly hard this term to ensure that all our pupils are safe and happy and although we look fairly calm on the surface, underneath we are all paddling hard! Everyday this term has had a challenge in some form or other but we have kept calm and carried on and I cannot thank them enough.

Finally, I would like to thank all of you for your continued support. All your messages of support have kept us going and have really made a difference, the books you have donated through the Friends appeal have been gratefully received and your understanding and willingness to follow the rules we have had to put in place have made our daily lives so much easier.

I hope you are all able to have a peaceful and happy christmas with your family and look forward to seeing you back in school in the new year.
