The Hall Way...
Let's give a Thank You and Good Luck at WNHS to Mrs. Spear!
Wow! This school year didn't end the way we expected it! I'm pretty sad that I didn't get to say "Goodbye!", "Take care!", "Have an awesome summer break!" or "See you in the fall!". Actually, I was only going to be able to say that last one to the 8th graders.
Some may already know, but for those who haven't heard, I have decided to go back to being one of the assistant principals at Woodstock North High School when we return to school in the fall. I will miss all the great things that make Northwood an awesome place to work and learn, but I'm also excited about taking all I've learned with me and seeing what these awesome students can do in high school.
So 8th graders, I will see you in the fall! Have an awesome and healthy summer, but be ready to join me in embracing all the exciting things of joining the Thunder Nation!
6th and 7th graders - I hope you also have a fun and healthy summer break! I will be waiting for you to join me at North in the next few years, and I'm so excited to see how you will grow over our time apart. Continue to demonstrate the Warhawk Way each and every day!
From the bottom of my heart, thanks to all students, staff, and Northwood families for giving me an amazing two years at Northwood! Go, Warhawks!
We would like to give a Warhawk Welcome to Mr. Baier
Hello Warhawks!
My name is Tony Baier and I am going to be the new Assistant Principal here at Northwood for the upcoming school year. I am beyond excited to be a part of this amazing school community! During these times of uncertainty, there was one thing I knew was for certain, Northwood is a place that I wanted to be a part of. Meeting the teachers and staff at Northwood on Google Meets has been a wonderful experience. Through these meetings, it was abundantly apparent that the staff love working at Northwood and love the community of Woodstock. Even though we may not know what the beginning of the school year will look like, I do know that this school and this community will rise above and go beyond for the students of Northwood!
A little more about me: I have been married to my wonderful wife for five years, and we have a spunky almost two year old daughter named Everly and have another girl arriving in July! I reside in Elgin and have been in education for 14 years, 8 of the last years have been spent teaching special education in the Batavia School District at the middle school level. I believe the key to success at any level of education, but especially at the middle school level, is building truly meaningful relationships with students. This is what I bring to Northwood, a desire to get to know the students, staff, parents, and community. Together we can do great things! Again I look forward to being a part of this awesome school community!
Stay safe and have a great summer Northwood!
Fourth Quarter and Final Grades for 2019-2020
Fourth Quarter Grades:
Fourth quarter and rotation five grades will be marked with a “P” for passing or an “I” for incomplete. Students receiving an “I” overall for any course will be required to enroll in, and successfully complete, a summer program to ensure they have been instructed on the necessary skills for next school year. An email will be coming out to all of the parents of the students that will be enrolled in the class. Mr. Wilson will be teacher for the course and will be reaching out to students next week.
Final Grades for 2019-2020 School Year:
