Summer Parking/Construction Update

Construction out front is going to be expanding its footprint as the school year comes to a close. Starting May 23, the front (east) parking lot will be shut down and all visitors will need to park in the West parking lot (Student Parking Lot). From there, please enter the campus through the courtyard to enter the building.

Graduation Tickets and Seating

This year seating for guests of Desert Edge graduates will be open to the public on a first-come, first-serve basis for the first 11,000 guests. There will be no assigned/ticketed seating for guests.

Attendees will not be permitted to bring balloons, glass vases, or containers. At no time will guests be allowed to assemble outside the graduate gate area. All State Farm Stadium policies are expected to be followed while on their premises.

Cap and Gown Information

Cap & Gown Pickup: Josten's was on site Monday, March 14th to distribute cap & gowns that were ordered in the fall. If your student already ordered a cap & gown through Josten's but missed the pickup event on Monday, please have them stop by the Bookstore to see if their order was left with us. If you have not yet ordered a cap & gown you must visit Josten's storefront directly (no more online orders available). Their address is: 14827 N Cave Creek Rd, Phoenix, AZ 85032. Have a question before you head there? Call (602) 765-7227. *As a reminder, the Bookstore does not have any cap & gowns available for purchase.

May 18: Class of 2022 Celebration; 9:30 AM

May 18: Senior Checkout; 11:30 AM

May 18: Grades 9-11 Final Exams (P1, P2, P3)

May 19: Grades 9-11 Final Exams (P4, P5, P6)

Tax Credit Information

About DEHS

Located near the Estrella Mountains, Desert Edge High School is the third high school in Agua Fria Union High School District, opening in the Fall of 2002. Desert Edge was the first "Green" Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) silver certificate high school in Arizona, and the fourth in the nation.

Desert Edge is an A+ School of Excellence! (2016 and 2020). The A+ School of Excellence™ Program is a comprehensive school assessment program that celebrates outstanding schools and brings to light the positive stories and successes happening in public schools every day.

Desert Edge has consistently been awarded the Washington Post's America's Most Challenging High School and US News and World Report Best High School in America. Desert Edge is the only high school in Arizona to earn gold medal status in the Beat the Odds program for the 2018-2019 school year. Additionally, Desert Edge was recognized in 2019 for building "a college-going community" with The Most Innovative Player Award from the Governor’s Office of Education and The Arizona Commission for Postsecondary Education.

Desert Edge is located on Estrella Parkway and Yuma Road near the Goodyear Ballpark, Spring Training home of the Cincinnati Reds and Cleveland Indians.
