Welcome back to Term 4!! It is great to see everyone's happy smiling faces back at school.
We have mentioned via our school app that we have reviewed our Alert Level 2 settings for term 4. A summary of the updates are as follows:

Hot lunches on Wednesday

Breakfast in Schools
Parent help - eg sports practices, trips etc
PE Shed will be open.
When outside visitors are encouraged to wear face coverings and keep 1 metre distance from people they do not know.

TUESDAY 26TH OCTOBER
Modified Pig Hunt Challenge
For any children/families that still want to go hunting over Labour weekend. Children can still enter the Big 3 - rabbit, hare, possum and the Goats Head and these can be brought to school on Tuesday 26th October.
Agriculture Fun/Games Day - Tuesday 26th October
The day will look something like this:
8.30 - 10.00 - Big Three and Goats can be dropped off at school
9.00 - 11.00 - Rotations lead by student leaders
During this time Year 8 children can bring their lamb/calf or goat - leading demonstrations and show and tell with each rotation.

11.10 - 11.30 - Morning Tea
11.30 - 1.00 - Agricultural Games/Activities
1.00 - BBQ lunch supplied by the Friends of Toko School - Sausage & bread/Ice Block
2.00 - 3.00 Agricultural Games/Activities
During this day children will be grouped into their houses. Children are encouraged to wear their house colours on this day.
The Hall of Creativity will be set up on Friday 22nd October. Children will be making their creations on Friday morning. The hall will be open on Tuesday/Wednesday for families to visit.
Children that are still caring for and rearing a calf/lamb or goat are encouraged to take photos, create a poster/video or some other creative display to share and bring to school on Tuesday 26th October.

Lunch Orders
We were unable to continue with lunch orders last term due to lock down. Any missed lunches have been carried over until this term. All dates and orders have been placed in the community calendar, on our school website and on our school app. If your child did not place a lunch order and you would like them to have one please email the office.
29th October Hamburger
5th November Sausage & Bread
12th November Chicken Wrap
26th November Chicken Sub
3rd December Ham and Cheese Toastie
10th December American Hotdog (if you were a chess player you may not have ordered this lunch due to a tournament)
FR0M THE SPORTS DESK
Tennis - Term 4
Bruce Cleland will be back in term 4 to coach tennis one afternoon for 6 weeks starting in November. This costs around $50 per child for 1 hour group sessions for years 2 and above. If your child is interested in this please email sports@toko.school.nz more information to follow next term.
Tabloids
This will be held for Yr0-4 children on Wednesday 10th November at Midhurst school. This will only be taking place if we are in level 1 and a decision will be made by the end of week 2. More information will be given in the next newsletter if this is going ahead,
CHILDREN ARE REQURIED TO WEAR BUCKET HATS DURING TERM 4. PLEASE MAKE SURE THESE ARE PACKED AND NAMED. WE DO HAVE SCHOOL HATS THAT CAN BE PURCHASED FROM THE OFFICE.
