Next week, report cards will be available for parents to view online. Please continue to keep in mind this is a unique school year! Even with this unique school experience, the partnership between parents and the school community help us to create a successful learning environment for all students. We are all a work in progress. Continue to focus on the strengths of your learners and celebrate their growth academically, socially, and emotionally. The leaders and learners at Defer are working hard to meet their goals for 2020 -21 school year!

We encourage students to attend the live specials options each week! For each grade level, there are two classes listed on the schedule. The lesson will be the same for the grade level on both days, students should select one of the live classes to attend based on the information from your classroom teacher.

Defer PTO
PTO Meetings
Please join us at the monthly PTO meetings. Meetings will be held on the 2nd Tuesday of the month at 7pm. All are welcome. There will be no meeting in December. Our next scheduled meeting is Tuesday, January 12th at 7PM. This will be a virtual meeting. The Zoom meeting details will be sent out by 5pm on the day of the meeting.
Defer Craft Fair
The 2020 Craft Fair is here! This year we are offering craft kits and a way to participate virtually. Each student will receive a jingle bell necklace kit, courtesy of Mini Picasso’s. In addition, you are invited to purchase up to 2 craft kits (per student) on the PTO square site (link below). There are a limited number of kits, so be sure to order yours today! The sale will run through December 4th and the kits will be made available for pickup on December 11th at Defer.

School Directory and PTO Membership
The PTO is finalizing the 2020-2021 directory, but it is not too late to purchase a printed directory and PTO membership. The directory is an invaluable resource for parents to plan playdates, setup carpools, or coordinating school activities. Defer PTO-Help Wanted!
Are you looking for ways to get involved with Defer for the 2020-2021 school year?
Even though school looks different this year, there are still many ways to get involved! The Defer PTO is looking for volunteers to chair various committees this year. Volunteers are also needed to help plan and organize details for each committee. This is a great way to meet other parents within the Defer community. Many of these opportunities allow for working parents to be involved.
