2016 Honor Roll
Seven GCISD campuses have been named to the 2016 Texas Honor Roll presented by Educational Results Partnership and the Institute for Productivity in Education: Glenhope Elementary, Heritage Elementary, O.C. Taylor Elementary, Colleyville Middle School, Cross Timbers Middle School, Heritage Middle School and iUniversity Prep.
"We are so proud to have seven campuses recognized by education and business leaders in Texas as Honor Roll campuses," said GCISD Superintendent Dr. Robin Ryan. "In GCISD our mission is to be the BEST, which we define as Building Excellent Schools Together. This includes tireless dedication from our staff, involvement from our parents, community and of course local businesses. Through working together, we are able to provide a world-class education for the students in Grapevine-Colleyville ISD."
The Honor Roll is part of a national effort to identify higher-performing schools and highlight successful practices that improve outcomes for students. School districts receiving this distinction have demonstrated consistent high levels of student academic achievement, improvement in achievement levels over time and reduction in achievement gaps among student populations. For school districts with high schools, the Honor Roll recognition also includes measures of college readiness. This year, 727 schools were recognized in the State of Texas.
