SCS Christmas 5K
SCS 5K RACE RECAP
The SCS Christmas 5K Committee would like to thank all of our students, parents, coaches, volunteers, sponsors and building facilities personnel, for all of your hard work and dedication into making our very 1st Christmas 5K a huge success. When we started planning this event, we were very hopeful that the SCS and the running community would embrace the spirit of Christmas to help support our very special school during the holiday season.
In short, you exceeded our expectations, and here is the recap: over 340 registrants, $22K in sponsorships, with a projected profit of $20K to be to presented to the St. Catharine’s School Athletic Committee.
Additionally, it was so beautiful to see the community come together cheering on the runners, enjoying the games, making new friends and reconnecting with the old.
We look forward to handing over to the reigns to Melissa Heyward, who has generously agreed to Chair the race next year.
Have a wonderful Holiday and a Peaceful New Year.
