Electro Spray Painting

What is Electro spray painting?

Electro spray painting, allows the particles of paint to gain a positive charge once they leave the nozzle of the spray gun. The charge of the paint droplets become positive as the paint loses electrons causing the unbalance between protons and neutrons within the atom. The paint gains a positive charge as the object in which is going to painted is earthed so that there is an electric field (Induced charged separation) between the nozzle and the spray gun. The paint droplets follow the electric field lines in which are deposited evenly along the surface of the object in which is going to be painted.

Electro Spray Painting

How it works?

Electro spray painting uses a very unique and effective method in order to paint the surface. Once the paint/droplets enter the nozzle of the spray gun they gain a positive charge. After the paint has been released from the nozzle of the gun the droplets repel each other. They repel each other as like charges repel thus creating a wider spray of paint causing it to cover a much larger area. This is better then being released right out of the nozzle in a straight path like regular spray painting as it covers more space allowing an even and smooth coat to be produced.

History of Electrostatics Spray Painting

A man named Harold Ransburg had first patented Electrostatic spray painting in the late 1940’s. As Ransburg had patented electrostatics spray painting he had realized that it had become very popular within manufacturers due to its convenience, quality and effectiveness in which it had produced. The theory/method in which Harry had discovered was that once the paint droplets become electrically charged after they leave the nozzle, they begin to repel eachother due to the Electrostatics law. The object in which is being sprayed must be grounded so that the opposite charge (Protons or Electrons) shall attract to provide maximum durability and a larger area to be covered.

What are the benefits to Electro spray painting compared to regular spray painting?

There are many benefits to Electro spray painting. The method allows you to save money do to the even coat in which the paint provides along with durability. This allows the owner of the object to save money as the cost of repairs and re-coats/repainting is reduce as an even smooth layer of paint is applied to the surface. Also another benefit of Electro spray painting is that it dries to the touch in about an hour as it is usually able to be shown to sunlight the next morning.

Why choose Electrostatic spray painting?

Electro spray painting is a unique way of spray painting as it provides maximum durability, quality, convenience, color selection. Electro spray painting allows you to save money as the product provides maximum durability for a long term as it lowers the possibility of replacement cost. The convenience of the product is that it allows 99% of paint to be transferred to the the surface allowing painting to be easy in any place without resulting in a mess. The painting allows maximum durability as its epoxy paint offers a long lasting coat on the surface in which has been painted. The quality of the paint is astonishing when painted on a metal surface as it forms a smooth even coat giving the finished product an amazing finish.
