Fort Saskatchewan High School Band News
The Fort Saskatchewan High School Band received top marks in the Fort Saskatchewan Music Festival this year. This is an especially great feat as the band had only started working together at the start of semester 2. The adjudicator Oscar-Jose Garcia (who’s bio is available here: http://www.truenorthmusicschool.com/?page_id=35) had amazing feedback and great things to say about the hard work the students put in. The band will be travelling to Vegreville for the Wendy Brooks festival and plan on also performing well for the community.

Wrestling Championship News
A big congrats to Klarke Pierce who demonstrated excellent wrestling skills at the Metro City Championships on March 1st. Klarke wrestled in the biggest division and gave the other wrestlers a good run. In the end he placed 5th out of 22 securing himself a spot in the provincials down in Lethbridge later this week. Amazing job Klarke.

COUNSELLOR CORNER
Students have begun their second semester courses. It is a good time to evaluate academic progress and set goals for the remainder of the school year. Once again, our Success Coaches will be reviewing and meeting with Grade 12 students to ensure graduation requirements have been met and to support grads with post-secondary and financial planning. Grade 12 students are reminded to log-in to their MyPass account to access diploma exam results.
Have an awesome second semester.
