August 31, 2020
Dear Field Parents and Guardians,
We are so glad to have kicked off our year yesterday! We hope your child was able to successfully log on to Seesaw or Schoology, meet his or her teacher, connect with classmates, and begin learning together! If you are having technology difficulties, please do reach out for support. You can call the main office, or send us an email. While this is not the start to the year that any of imagined, we are thankful to be back together virtually and look forward to the day we can be back together in person. We appreciate your partnership and patience as we settle into our new school year.
A few reminders about upcoming events. On Monday, August 31st, we invite you to stop by the North Gym (last door on Wisner) to pick up student materials. Teachers have bagged up items for student use at home. Please select a time frame (7:30-8:45am; 11:40am-12:40pm; 3:30-5:30pm) that works for you. You are welcome to coordinate and pick up several students' items. Also, please note that we will host our Parent Night on Wednesday, September 2nd, beginning at 6:00pm. This will be a virtual event, and I will share more information with Zoom links and details next week. Thank you for your understanding as we work through these logistics. Our teachers are looking forward to hosting this event and sharing more information about your child's learning this year.

Park Ridge-Niles School District 64’s mission is as follows:
Inspire every child to discover, learn, achieve, and care.
Today, we noticed a number of students using the playground during the lunch break. We certainly understand the importance of providing students with the chance to get outside and play, but the school playground remains closed during the school day for several reasons. We have a few students with special needs at the school, and we would like to find a safe way to give them playground access, but that can't happen if the playground is open to all during the day. Additionally, we do not have the staff to supervise the playground for others to use during the school day.
During these challenging times, it is paramount that families continue to practice the social distancing guidelines defined by our public health officials. Your partnership in this area is greatly needed and appreciated. Our school district is taking great strides to keep our teachers and staff safe while they are on campus, and we need your cooperation to ensure a safe school campus safe for everyone.
