A huge thank you to Michele Kelly, Nikki Lovelace, and Mr Rector for finding ways to escort a student from and back to my class. He has had 2 successful days. Which says a lot considering we are so close to break and so many changes in normal routine. --Kim Whitworth
Thank you to Angeline for putting together math packets for Topics 6 & 7 for families to work on at home with their children to reteach and reinforce concepts covered in my absence. The extra or in some cases completing the work made an impact on the Benchmark assessment. --Kim Whitworth

Help for Billy
These books were handed out at the end of last year to all staff members and some of you participated in the Schoology conversation over the summer. As we continue our learning on how to respond to students using a trauma informed approach this is another opportunity for learning.During our Skype session with Heather she recommended we continue to visit this work with a book study discussion. Everyone is encouraged and welcome to attend the discussion. The link for the flyer is below along with the dates of the meetings. All of the meetings will begin at 8:00 in the Learning Commons and have already been placed on the building calendar. Please let me know if you have any questions.

All of the money we raise will be used to start to enhance our resources for gross motor activities. There are a few ideas in the works to build a track, create an obstacle course, and to start to develop a motor lab with exercise equipment. All of your support for this is greatly appreciated as we work to provide more tools for our students.

Enjoy your break and time off. Please, please, please rest up! Next quarter is a long one. You all deserve some time to unwind and unplug. Spend time with family and friends. I hope you all have a very Merry Christmas and a wonderful start to the new year. Thanks for EVERYTHING you have done so far this semester. Even though things get hectic and crazy sometimes, I am so proud of all the work that you all do for our kids.
