They say many hands make light work! That certainly was true at SJCS this past Saturday when many members of our Knights of Columbus and Parish joined several parents to do some work around the school. Volunteers spent a couple hours spreading sand, painting, pressure washing, and cleaning. Thanks for helping our school sparkle!

Temporary Admin Changes
You should have received an email from the Superintendent on Tuesday regarding a temporary need for Mrs. Haas to serve as Acting Principal at St. Joseph Academy in Lakeland. Mrs. Haas has been asked to cover for Mrs. Jesi Bruchey during extensive treatment and recovery from a very recent diagnosis of acute myeloid leukemia. In Mr. Fortier’s letter, he appointed Mr. Reilly as Acting Principal of St. Joseph Winter Haven. Additionally, Mrs. Jenny Insua has agreed to step in as part-time Assistant Principal. Mrs. Insua has her Masters in Educational Leadership. She is a highly respected teacher among our staff and community. In addition to her duties as part-time Assistant Principal, Mrs. Insua will remain as fourth grade math and social studies teacher. We thank you in advance for your support during this transition and ask you to pray for Mrs. Bruchey and both the St. Joseph Winter Haven and St. Joseph Lakeland communities.
O Blessed Joseph, faithful guardian of my Redeemer, Jesus Christ, protector of Mary, the virgin Mother of God, I choose you this day to be my special patron and advocate and I firmly resolve to honor you all the days of my life. Therefore I humbly ask you to receive me as your client, to instruct me in every doubt, to comfort me in every affliction, to obtain for me and for all the knowledge and love of the Heart of Jesus, and finally to defend and protect me at the hour of my death.
