Northwest Association for Blind Athletes Youth Statewide Goalball Championship
Congratulations to Nate Babwah for scoring the game-winning goal with seconds left on the clock at the Northwest Association for Blind Athletes Youth Statewide Goalball Championship on March 10, 2023. Goalball is a Paralympic sport for blind and visually impaired players. Nate was also awarded the Leadership Award for his communication on and off the court, cheering and coaching his teammates. We are so proud of you, Nate!

A New Student Lieutenant Governor for Key Club
On Monday, March 13, 2023, Sharon Perry Schmidt, President of Woodburn Kiwanis signed the Lieutenant Governor District Service Agreement for Isabella Baldisseri from Woodburn High School to be the PNW Key Club Lt. Governor!
Key Club is an international, student-led organization that provides its members with opportunities to provide service, build character and develop leadership. PNW Key Clubs includes nearly 290 Key Clubs and more than 11,000 members in Alaska, British Columbia, Washington, Oregon, and the panhandle of Idaho. As Lt. Governor for Division 70, Isabella will support nine Key Clubs and about 300 members. These key Clubs are located at:
- Canby High School
- McMinnville High School
- Molalla High School
- Newberg High School
- North Marion High School
- Silverton High School
- South Salem High School
- St. Paul High School
- Woodburn High School
Each lieutenant governor is responsible for supporting and growing the clubs within his or her division and serving as a liaison between the district and the club. Duties include publication of a newsletter, club officer training and support, holding divisional meetings and serving on one or more district committees.

Congratulations to Lizbet Alvarez Lopez for receiving Oregon State University's Presidential Scholarship! The Presidential Scholarship, OSU’s most prestigious and competitive scholarship, offers a total award of $40,000 ($10,000 per year, renewable for up to four years total) to new freshmen students.
