Our Lady of Lourdes School T1, 2022
Nau mai, Haere mai, Welcome to Term1: Week 10
HELLO, KIA ORA, KIA ORĀNA, MALO E LELEI, TALOFA, NAMASTE, KUMUSTA...
Blessings to you all as we begin week 10 of the term. We are in the final two weeks of Term 1 - a reminder that next Friday (15th April) is the beginning of our Term 1 break.
Every day brings us something different - with children and staff away making for flexible learning. Our children are amazing - our whanau leaders are stepping up in a range of areas. Our Kickstart Breakfast programme is being organised by them which is wonderful to witness - as one of our Mercy values is Service. Catherine McAuley would be proud to see all of us living and loving the Mercy way.
Next week we will be sharing the Easter story every day of the week. We will journey with Jesus on Palm Sunday, through to the washing of the feet, Last Supper, Stations of the Cross and then Good Friday. On Wednesday and Thursday each class will head over to the church and Whaea Donna Brown will help each class go through the Stations of the Cross using the Caritas resources. Mrs Pedley, our wonderful DRS, has created a wonderful set of resources for us all to use. We will share these with you next week.
Our thanks for your support and kindness as we journey together in these uncertain times. You are always in our prayers.
Once again, go gently, take good care of each other, being a person of MERCY in our world.
Blessings
