Do you want your child to SHINE? At Legacy Christian we will teach your child to SHINE socially, academically and most importantly, spiritually. We invite you to consider Legacy Christian School! We will be offering Preview Days in March and April! This is a “walk-in” type preview where you and your child may come to see our Preschool, Young 5's, Traditional Kindergarten and Spanish Immersion Kindergarten “in action”. You will have the opportunity to meet the teachers, observe the classroom and learn more about what Legacy has to offer for your child’s first experiences in school! Mark these dates on your calendar and explore Legacy! Join us on Friday, March 1, from 9:00-10:00 am, Tuesday, March 19, from 9:00-10:00 am and Friday, April 19, from 9:00-10:00 am. You are welcome to come and experience our Worship, too, on the Friday Preview days (March 1 and April 19, at 8:15 am) Questions? We are excited to announce that Miss Karli Lanninga has been hired to join our faculty beginning with the 2019-2020 school year. Miss Lanninga successfully completed our application and interview process in recent weeks.

Miss Lanninga is currently a student at Dordt College in Sioux Center, Iowa. She is completing her student teaching in a Spanish Immersion classroom at a school in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Originally from Hudsonville, Michigan, Miss Lanninga attended Hudsonville Christian and Unity Christian High before studying at Dordt.

Miss Lanninga is eager to begin her teaching career here at Legacy Christian! We look forward to welcoming her to our school community later this summer!

March is just around the corner and so is "March Is Reading Month!" We anxiously await our reading trackers from the West Michigan Whitecaps. Reading means BASEBALL TICKETS!! Stay tuned for some upcoming "short notice" direction on the reading club for this year. Reading Tracker approval and printing was delayed, but I am told they are on the way. Let's get ready to read and "PLAY BALL!!" Questions? Contact Kevin Novak by call/text 616-304-7390 or by email at grthunder.gameday@gmail.com.

Auction Update: This year our live auction will again feature grade-level theme baskets. These baskets have been a huge hit and have helped raise extra funds for our school and our children! Each grade level has been assigned a theme and the head room parent will organize a Sign-Up Genius to gather items for the basket. This is a great way for all Legacy families to participate in the auction by donating something small that combines to make a fantastic larger basket. If you haven’t heard anything about your grade level basket yet, please reach out to your classroom head room parent. If you have questions about your grade theme, please contact Michelle Maley at kmmaley05@comcast.net.

Its is Legacy's turn to cover shifts at the New Life Thrift Store. Our assignment is to cover at least 30 shifts during the month (4 hour shifts). As of now we only have 5 shifts covered. For those new to the Legacy Community, Legacy benefits financially each year from the proceeds of the Thrift Store. In return, we are required to supply the volunteers several times a year. Each time slot is only a few hours of your time! It would be GREAT if every LCS family could get involved! Sign up with a friend and support the Thrift Store and Legacy Christian School. Parents, high schoolers, grandparents, friends...anyone is welcome! Please sign-up TODAY! https://www.signupgenius.com/go/20f0945a9a928a0f58-volunteers
