Student Spotlight
Marshmallow Madness
High school students in the new Advanced Quantitative Reasoning course conquered their first challenge of the year. Students were given 20 spaghetti noodles, a marshmallow, 1 yard of tape, and 1 yard of string. With just 18 minutes to build a free standing tower, the only catch was that the marshmallow had to be at the top. The tallest tower was 26.5"!
Fiesta!
Senor Liston's Spanish classes indulged in their first fiesta of the year. Students worked together to make cultural dishes and then enjoyed their hard, yet tasty work.
Throwing Clay
Students in Mrs. Gravlin's ceramic classes put their designs to the test as they got to try their hand on the pottery wheels.

School Levy Information
November 8, Jefferson Local Schools will have a levy on the ballot. We have included some information regarding the levy here to help clarify any questions our community members may have. This information can also be found on the Jefferson Local Schools homepage.
Jefferson Local School District has placed a substitute levy on the November 8, 2022 ballot. The substitute levy will continue the existing nearly 40 year old emergency levy that currently raises over $1.4 million annually for District operations. The substitute levy will not raise taxes on existing taxpayers. However, the District will realize additional revenue on new construction within the District. Below are fact sheets providing additional information on this levy.
