HOW MUSIC IS WRITTEN
READ TO KNOW HOW TO READ MUSIC
People say that reading music is easier than reading words.
When people write or read music, they are writing or reading a code. People make sounds while they read the music code.
Here is how to read and write the code!
The staff is the horizontal lines on a sheet of music.
The bar line measures the music into groups.
The clef sign tells us that the second line is G.
A note tells us the pitch of a sound and how long it lasts.
A rest stands for silence. Different rest symbols stand for different lengths.
I hope you know more about my topic about music. I hope you like my topic and try to read it yourself. Do you see a barline in the picture?
