Country Basic
Oman's larges city is muscat. Muscat is the capital of Oman.
Oman's flag is made up of the colors: white, red, and Green.
The color white represents peace, red is just a common color of flags in its region, green represents fertility, and the symbol represents The dagger and its sheath are superimposed on two crossed swords in scabbards.
Geograpghy
Oman is surrounded by Saudi Arabia, Yemen, and United Arab Emirates witch is located in South Western Asia. The two main bodies of water are the Gulf of Oman and the Arabian Sea. Oman's tallest elevation is 10,000 Ft. Located near Muscat. The mountains effects the people by building roads on mountains. It can be hard to build roads on sharp areas on the mountain.
Government
Oman's government has absolute Monarchy, and the current leader is Bin Said Al Said. A leader is chosen every four years. The citizens of Oman must obey laws, can vote, and Amend laws, recommend policy. Some personal freedoms such as: Arbitrary or Unlawful Deprivation of Life, Disappearance, and Torture and Other Cruel, Inhuman, or Degrading Treatment or Punishment,
Economy
Oman's GDP is about $81.80 billion USD (2014). The literacy rate is about 87%, life expectancy is about 75.21 years, birth rate 24.44 births out of 1000 people. Oman's import is: petroleum, re exports, fish, metals, and textiles. Therefor, Oman is a fairly rich country. Oman money sources is called Omani rial.
Culture
In Oman women usually ware ropes as a tradition. For modern day to everyday clothing people usually ware collar shirts when they are out doing everyday thing. The most common language spoken by the Oman people is Arabic. The most popular music is traditional music. Oman's most common religion is Islam. People there mostly eat: bread, rice, and meat. In Oman people can go to operas, nice restaurants, and resorts for entertainment.
Climate
In Oman the weather is mostly sunny and humid, but it rains more than any other countries. It rains the most in the spring seasons ( March and April). It is also the warmest in the spring and summer seasons. The spring season rain helps farmers grow crops.
History
Arabs emigrated to Oman in the ninth century BC, and during the movement Arabs became Islam. In the seventh century AD Muscat, the capital of the geographical area known as Oman, was taken over by the Portuguese from 1508 to 1648.
Ahmad expanded his empire to East Africa, and for a time the Omani capital was in Zanzibar. After 1861, however, Zanzibar fell from Omani control.

Differences
In the United States our government is a Federal republic, and Oman's government is a Absolute monarchy. The United States has a greater population than Oman does. The United States has around 350 million people, and Oman has a population of about 3.5 Million people.
Similarities
The United States most common religion is Christian, and in Oman the most common is Islam. Oman was first found in 7th sentry and America was founded in July 4, 1776.
