Position: Middle School Member At Large
School: North Gwinnett Middle School
Grade 2019-2020: 8th
Favorite Quote: “The goal isn’t to live forever, the goal is to create something that will.”
One of Jenny's favorite GASC memories was her district rally last fall. "It was such an eye-opening experience where I got to meet many new people as well as develop new leadership skills. It also had a wonderful key note speaker that taught us about the influence we had on others as leaders. Overall, it was a great experience that I wish to repeat again!" Jenny says. Jenny loves to bullet journal to keep herself organized.

PILLAR 6: ADVISOR DEVELOPMENT
Advisor of the Month: Andrew Bolin (Alpharetta High School)
Mr.Bolin is a student council advisor and helps manage big events at the school, including big events like pep rallies. He is a big fan of country music, specifically Big Green Tractor, and even persuaded his students to listen to the genre. Students describe him as an extremely personable advisor and someone who strives to find the good in everyone.
Natasha Havanur, a student at Alpharetta High School, nominated him because "he believes in every student's abilities and knows we can achieve whatever we put our minds to. Over the few years he has been working with our council, he has provided us with many opportunities to become better leaders, and has supported us endlessly throughout even the most stressful times (like planning for district rally, oof!). Our council is grateful to have him as one of our advisors!"
Mr. Bolin assisted Natasha and Sophia Abedi with hosting the District 1 Rally last year. He helped with recruiting and contacting schools, picking dates, fixing the air conditioning, budgeting, renting out the building, and made sure the event was a success. Students say that the event would have been impossible without his dedication and hardwork.
GASC thanks Mr.Bolin for being a rockstar! We love you!
