Mapping Our Reading World in the Fifth Grade!
After mastering the Read Through the Genres Challenge, Fifth Graders have the FREEDOM to read books of their choice in any genre throughout the year. However you must read and at least FIVE books on your reading level each 9 weeks. Choose any TWO books and create a print or digital product (example: movie poster or FlipGrid movie) to earn a classroom reward. Successfully complete TWO projects each 9 weeks to come to the End-of-the-9 Weeks Library Celebration. More project ideas will be shared in library classes. Rewards are listed on the Mapping MY Reading World in 5th Grade Map. They are color-coded to match the book genre for which you completed a project. Earn TWO rewards per 9 weeks to come to the End-of-the-9 Weeks Library Celebration. Earning 8 classroom rewards throughout the year will earn you an invitation to the End-of-the-Year Celebration in the library.
