Marijuana
Marijuana is categorized as a hallucinogen. There are many other drugs that fall into this category for instance LSD, Peyote, Psilocybin, and PCP. Some psychological effects from using it are Chemicals are carried from the bloodstream to the brain and other organs in the body, and when digested cannabinoid receptors find there way into the brain to influence pleasure, memory, thinking, concentration, sensory, also time perception. Statistics say that Marijuana is the most frequently used illegal drug in the U.S. with over 69 million Americans over the age of 12 have tried it at least once. Some warnings about the use of Marijuana are effects on your hormones regular use during pregnancy will increases the risk of lower birth weights and health problems for the baby. According to the law of Wisconsin if you are convicted of possession of less than an ounce of marijuana you could face a sentence of six months in jail and a fine of up to $1,000 dollars.
Ecstasy
Ecstasy is categorized as a stimulant. There are different kind of drugs that fall into the same category are Cocaine, Methamphetamine, Amphetamines, and Methylphenidate. There are many ways that this drug could psychologically affect you in many ways for instance it increases the activity of your three neurotransmitters, serotonin, dopamine, and norepinephrine. This drug can also influence your mood by making you more emotional. According to statistics Ecstasy can cause kidney, liver and brain damage, including long-lasting injuries on brain tissue. There is a major warning to the people who do take Ecstasy because recently they have been giving out fake pills which can harm you to the point of death. Laws in Wisconsin provide us with up to 30 days in jail for possession of Ecstasy.
Alcohol
Alcohol is categorized as a depressant. There are many kinds of drugs that have similar side affects to alcohol like Barbiturates, Benzodiazephine, inhalants, and Gamma-Hydroxybutyric Acid. There are also many effects on the brain from alcohol for instance intoxication can impair brain funtion and motor skills, also it can create a problem in oneself like alcohol abuse. According to statistics about alcohol 72% of men in the past year have had something to drink. According to the Surgeon General women should not drink alcoholic beverages during their pregnancy because of the risk of birth defects. According to Wisconsin law you are not able to drink or buy alcohol anywhere in the state unless you are 21.
